Alerts by e-mail  |  Alerts by RSS/XML

Email Alerts Sign-up Information:

The OEM's E-Mail Alert Program is a newly instituted program to communicate to tribal citizens:
  • - That there is an emergency or potential emergency situation unfolding on or near tribal lands that either will effect, of has the potential to detrimentally effect the Nation's Citizenry, Tribal Lands, and/or Tribal Infrastructure.
  • - Information regarding the emergency or pending emergency situation.
  • - Suggested actions to take.
  • - Where and if assistance is available to local Tribal Citizens.

The OEM's E-Mail Alert Program is not designed to be a cure-all for the need to stay informed.  It may well occur that a hazard, disaster emergency or valid safety concerns could prevent the OEM Staff's use of, or access to computers to send out emergency e-mail alerts or to update the OEM's RSS/XML Feed.  Therefore, individual Citizens have a responsibility to themselves and to their respective family members to stay informed of their surrounding environment.

Specifics about this e-mail list:
  1. This e-mail list is a "receive only" list, i.e., you can not reply.  If you reply, no person will ever see your e-mail as all replies are automatically discarded.  Tribal Government contact information will be provided on every e-mail alert sent if at all possible.
  2. In the interest of transmission speed and delivery reliability, this e-mail will be sent in plain text ONLY.
  3. Effective 01 October, 2007, All tribal employees, appointees, Elders, tribal council members and other members of the tribal government are automatically subscribed the day that they take office.  After leaving office, they may be removed upon their request.
